| The central Ruhr region has a long industrial tradition and, even today, industry still provides between 20% and 30% of the region's economic output. At present, innovative medium-sized companies with a global customer structure are shaping this industrial sector – companies such as Maschinenfabrik Mönninghoff. | The goal of our involvement in the Initiative Industrie Mittleres Ruhrgebiet project is to strengthen an industry-friendly environ ment in the region in order to promote further establishment of producing companies and improve acceptance of industry in policies and society at large. |
| After being welcomed so warmly in our new neighborhood in Wattenscheid, we felt the urge to make a contribution to the community here in return. Sponsoring the soccer team of SG Wattenscheid 09 is a perfect fit, because we really have a lot in common with them. Our own motto "The past shapes the future. At Mönninghoff we have plenty of both" applies just as well to this traditional club. | In addition, we are also supporting one of their junior teams. This is a project we care about deeply, since educating and guiding young people is something we try to pursue not only inside our company but also outside of it. |
